Shani ( my grand daughter)  

This family tree concerns the family Mamou native from Tunisia. It was begun by my great  grand father ( on my mother side)   Jacob Mamou husband  by 1870. It goes back until about 1750,  presumed date of birth  of my ancestor Mzada Mamou married to  Mzaura, and who were probably native from the island of Djerba in Tunisia.

I would like to improve and enrich this family tree.

Due to all those who contacted me, due to the e-mails) rich in information, I was able to correct errors and especially to complete or to create certain branches absent in our tree.  Certainly  there are still errors. This is because our roots go back far and because through the years, information deteriorates especially for lack of papers.
Without the clear-sightedness of my great-grandfather Jacob ( husband of Rachel) I would not have been able to put this tree on the net.

For those that still have old persons in their circle of acquaintances, do not forget ' to question them,  they know so many informations .Il will be too late when they will not be any more among us.

There are photos, do not hesitate to send  me pictures by Email,  I will put them them with their owner. I can put ONE photo for each  individual. There are texts, anecdotes,  which enrich index cards.
I began to write some youth recollections in Tunisia. Fell free to send me small anecdotes I will be able to include them.
The important details I need are:

Date of birth, place of birth, profession, date of death, wedding date, places of life, small or big histories (change of country).

I think that the children of our children will appreciate certainly, to find one day their roots and their history, scattered in the 4 corners of the world.
